Naeemah Kennedy, Humanities Teacher, Middle School

I am a Roxbury native born and raised right in the heart of the city. While growing up in Roxbury I went to school in Newton as a part of the METCO program. Upon graduating high school I sought out something different and college traveled to Atlanta, GA to attend an HBCU (Historically Black College and University, an experience I shall never forget) however I graduated from our very own Northeastern University right in the heart of Roxbury. Over the last 15 years I have had the pleasure of working with students from across the city in grades 1-12 in the Boston Public School system. While I’m not at work I’m at home being a mom to two young men. I currently have the please of being the 7th and 8th grade Humanities teacher here at BGA, thank you for sharing your amazing young people with me.
