Cold Weather Safety Tips & Resources

When exposed to low temperatures and strong wind gusts, there is an increased risk of hypothermia and frostbite. We acknowledge closing schools is a challenge to many of our families and encourage families in need to take advantage of BCYF warming centers on Friday and Saturday.

Please also check on older adults, people with disabilities, and people experiencing homelessness, and take caution when using portable heating devices like space heaters.
