Career Technology Education Program
in Environmental Science (CTE)
BGA is proud to offer a fully approved Chapter 74 Career & Technical Education (CTE) program in Environmental Science, available to students in grade 9-12. Intended for those with an interest in a career in environmental science, students in this exciting program take in-depth courses, experience special field trips and projects, learn how to operate a container farm, and learn how to run a business. Students get to partner with industry leaders for internships and explore the career possibilities in this growing and important field. Upon completion of the program they will also receive valuable industry-wide certifications that can open doors to employment. BGA is the only school in Boston to offer this program and we are very excited to bring this great opportunity to our students.
This program prepares students for college and/or careers and is open to any student enrolled at BGA. Students apply in 9th grade to the new cohort every year which has space for up to 20 students. If spots open up in later years there is a process to join the cohort at that time. A special application is required. For more information, please review the two documents below:
