Dear Boston Green Academy Families,

We hope you are doing well as the summer comes to a close. Now that Boston Public Schools have made some important decisions, BGA is working hard to prepare for a safe and strong opening of school. Below are some important reminders and updates:

  • BPS Announces School Start Dates- BPS has decided to start in remote mode (all students learn at home) on Monday, September 21. For key dates, please review this presentation.

  • Please Fill Out Your BPS Survey- BPS has sent a survey to all families. All families must choose whether they prefer remote learning or the hybrid model (two days per week at school, three days per week at home). Please be sure to inform Boston Public Schools of your choice immediately by responding to the survey they sent you. If you haven’t received a survey, please contact BPS at 617-635-9520 or email To learn more, click here.

  • BGA Virtual Family Meetings- BGA will hold Virtual Family Meetings next week for all families to receive updates and ask questions. Please join us using Zoom, our free internet meeting site, if you are able. The schedule will be:

    • Middle School (Grades 6-8)- Weds. Sept 2, 5-6pm

  • High School (Grade 9-12)- Thurs. Sept 3, 5-6pm

  • LFI/Autism Program- Weds. Sept 2, 4-5pm

  • Reunión en español/ Spanish Language Meeting- Thurs. Sept 3, 4-5pm

  • Summer Learning and Supply Lists- Please be sure that your student completes the BGA summer learning activities for their grade level by the start of school. Assignments can be found on the BGA website: Back to School supplies lists can also be found there.

  • Expect More Details Soon- BGA will send a detailed mailing to all families in early September with student schedules, the school calendar, and other important information. Until then, please reach out to BGA staff or email if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you in September. Until then, please stay safe and healthy.
