Welcome to BGA! Below you will find helpful information for new and existing students.

Congratulations to all students and their families who were accepted to join us for the 2017-2018 school year. We are excited to welcome you into the BGA family.

6th, 7th & 8th Grade FAQ (skip to below for high school)

What time do I have to go to school?

8:00am-3:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm Wednesday

Are there uniforms?

Yes! All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are required to wear a uniform*.

The required 6th grade uniform consists of:

• BGA Polo
• Khaki Pants & Belt OR Khaki Skirt
• Green Pride Sweatshirt

Polo shirts and sweatshirts are available for purchase at L&M Bargain Stores:

*If a student is unable to meet the dress code obligations, we will have a conversation with the family. Students who continue to struggle to meet the dress code after a family conversation will be required to perform community service. If families have financial challenges with the policy, please contact the student’s advisor.

How do I get to Boston Green Academy?

Corner-to-corner transportation on yellow school buses will be provided by Boston Public Schools to and from school each day. Please visit their website here for more information.

Do I need to bring my own lunch?

No, Boston Public Schools provides breakfast and lunch to all our students free of charge. If you would prefer to bring your own, you may do so, but there is no refrigerator or microwave available to keep food cold or warm it up.

• 2 Erasers *
• 3 Pencils *
• 3 Pens*
• 2 Highlighters– any color*
• 4 packages of notebook paper*
• Binder supply pouch
• 1 box of colored pencils
• 3 composition books (marble black and white covers)
• 4 white clear view 1.5 inch 3 ring binders
• 4 sets of binder dividers
*May need to be re-supplied during the year.

High School FAQ

No. Our high school students have freedom to express themselves in an appropriate manner.

• 3 Pens and/or pencils
• 3 Highlighters
• 4 1 1⁄2 inch binders
• 4 Packets of binder tabs
• 2 packets of 3-4 section dividers
• 1 Three ring pencil pouch
• 2 One-subject construction notebooks
• 1 Two pocket homework folder
• 1 Calculator
• 1 Spanish/English dictionary
• 1 Box of colored pencils
